Prolific synth pop masters Red Sleeping Beauty are presenting us with a new record. Just a few months after releasing the wonderful
Stockholm LP, the Swedish trio return with
Tonight, a four-track EP that should further enhance their reputations in the top echelon of synth pop. Leading off is title track "Tonight", an upbeat song featuring dual vocals and memorable hooks. It also featured on the recent album, but it deserves this second and starring role. Following track "Someone Somewhere" adds a charming indie pop vibe to the band's repertoire, with Kristina's vocals bearing the perfect amount of sassy '60s girl group attitude. "Emma's House" is an enchanting cover of a tune by English band The Field Mice. Final song "Falling Out Of Love" fits perfectly in Red Sleeping Beauty's sweet spot creating songs that invite you to dance while you sigh. Listen for it in a club near you. --
When You Motor Away
It’s barely been a few weeks since Red Sleeping Beauty dropped the highly recommended 'Stockholm', and already the group are turning around a few extra tunes to go with the 'Tonight' EP/Single. I mean, it only takes an instant to be submerged in a pool of refreshing synth pop; the beats are light and playful from the get-go, driving forward with energy as the chorus comes to fruition. This band just continues to offer up these delectable pop treats that are primed for quick consumption; you’re not going to find too many folks crafting better pop than this trio. The 'Tonight' EP will drop July 12th via Matinée Recordings. --

Red Sleeping Beauty lift
Tonight as a single (are there any more tracks left on Stockholm?) and it’s another example of a pleasing pop track with joint vocals and synths that echo throughout. Mind you second track
Someone Somewhere should have been the single. It’s melodies are as catchy as a dose of the catchiest flu and the vocals continue to delight as the song progresses. The band get back to their original indiepop roots with a cover of
Emma’s House originally by the Field Mice. Starting of in a sedate manner it slowly morphs into a piece of eletronica. The final track is a remix of
Falling Out Of Love which originally appeared on last year’s Always On Your Side EP. The original track was a bouncing synth pop track but here, in it’s Four-on-the-Floor Version, it has been given a change of pace as the beats per minute rise dramatically as it aims for the floors of your local indie dance club. 2019 has been a good year for Red Sleeping Beauty. It has just got better. --

Che meraviglia vedere i nostri cari Red Sleeping Beauty così attivi. Non si sono ancora spenti gli echi del loro ottimo album “Stockholm” e già siamo qui a parlare del loro nuovo EP, che diventa compendio determinante e doveroso al lavoro da poco uscito. 4 brani in questo “Tonight EP” che esce proprio oggi, ovviamente per la Matinée. Splendida partita a tennis quella tra Niklas e Kristina, che nel brano che da il titolo all’EP, si fronteggiano e si lanciano l’una all’altra ritornelli e strofe di una delizia assoluta. Synth-pop cristallino e perfetto. In “Someone Somewhere” è la voce di Kristina a destreggiarsi su una base synth iper solare e zuccherosa che ci manda subito in estasi. Su “Emma’s House” crediamo che ci sia ben poco da dire, se non che questa versione del classico dei Field Mice è un vero gioiellino, così malinconica e raccolta, ovviamente su territori elettronici ma atmosferici e carezzevoli. Con l’ultimo brano beh, fate largo sul dancefloor casalingo e tutti in pista! I Red Sleeping Beauty non sbagliano più nulla, ma non c’era bisogno di dirvelo. --

El trío sueco formado por Niklas Angergård, Kristina Borg y Mikael Matsson nos entrega un nuevo EP extraído de su álbum ‘Stockholm’. ‘Tonight’ contiene cuatro perlas de tecno-pop de melodías ensoñadoras, a base de sintetizadores analógicos, preciosos duetos vocales chico-chica entre Niklas y Kristina y enormes dosis de reverb. Incluyen una versión del “Emma’s house” de The Field Mice, en plan atmosférico. --
